Jacqueline (Jacq) transitioned from being a research nutritional scientist to pursue her passion for winemaking in 1998. She completed a Viticulture and Oenology degree at Lincoln University, New Zealand, and gained practical experience by working multiple vintages in Burgundy, Western Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.

In her first full-time winemaking role in Central Otago, New Zealand, Jacq gained national and international recognition for her exceptional Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Gris. Since moving to Canada and starting a family, she has been actively involved in winemaking and viticulture in the Okanagan Valley, focusing on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and traditional method sparkling wines.

With her role at Terralux Estate Winery and S’milka Vista Vineyards, Jacq embarks on an exciting new chapter in her winemaking career with keen interest in working with premium Meritage and Syrah grapes grown in the Cawston area of the Similkameen Valley. Her goal is to create vineyard-focused wines that are balanced, elegant, and distinctly representative of their grape varieties, reflecting the unique terroir they originate from.
